DMP

After a couple of weeks into this course, it has become evident to me that I need to get emotional and read more enthusiastically because enthusiasm is key. Having to put into words what you feel your life’s purpose is has been difficult for me. When I was in the ninth grade, I wanted to be a teacher. So I became a teacher and now I am retired.

New Habits

I do enjoy learning new things. This course has been an eye-opener as not only am I learning new things but I’m having to retrain my brain. I am having to form new habits, learning that the old habits have not served me well. Our absolute best is what we should do, not just the best we can. We can not let others’ opinions dictate our actions. Haanel, page 20, number 17 states

It is the fear of this criticism that causes many ideas to fail to see the light of day. Charles Haanel

What….just SIT??!

Sitting for 15 minutes at a time can be challenging, especially when one doesn’t have to think about anything. Our minds go in many different directions and jump from thought to thought so quickly that we don’t realize we are actually doing it. Haanel, page 21, number 29 states

Inhibit all thought as far as possible, but relax, let go, let the muscles take their normal condition; this will remove all pressure from the nerves and eliminate that tension which too frequently produces physical exhaustion. Charles Haanel

So this is my goal for this week to be totally relaxed while I sit and then to be totally focused while I am awake.
