MKE Week 3 – What’s on my mind?

As the pace of the course picks up, and more tools are handed out, the routine is starting to leave noticeable traces and marks. While the cruder aspects of everyday hustle underline once more that this current, actual life is still worlds of difference from my future’s desire, where I want to be and who I want to become, there is now a slight but noticeable shift in perception.

Awareness is seeping through on different levels, and though my current problems are far from coming closer to a solution, there is this other awareness taking root that there is more to the eye and mind than your everyday hurdles.

My DMP has been written and rewritten, and my main focus is to cut the content down to 300 words, a major challenge for me, because I am at the same time trying to incorporate every aspect that carries a relevant significance.

And then the bar is raised once more, now that we not only have to justify our chosen PPN’s, but also need to answer to S.M.A.R.T. while incorporating what we give back for our deepest desire, and what we want to sacrifice for it, a thing we can’t describe with these words because of its negative connotations, all the while intending to give exact dates and places, something that hasn’t fully crystallized yet. (the when I can calculate, but the where is still on one leg only).

It looks like I’ll be editing into the wee hours tonight to polish and shave on this current version, before sending it off for revisions.

I am well aware that we won’t get it all perfect and nail it just yet, because I feel it’s a maturing process to really, really be specific so that subby is not mistaken, in doubt or downright not interested. We develop a language that is understood and does not leave room for different interpretations.

And yes, there is Og’s scroll 1, now read while taking out “I will” and hauling actions forward into the present tense. I notice that too takes quite some adapting after two weeks reading literally what scroll 1 says. But it changes the tone, and adds a certain urgency and directness to Mandino’s wise words.

Lastly, while the second chore has been executed yesterday and took all day, putting in a makeshift roofing structure for this hideout of bamboo stems, transparent plastic, metal wire and thin rope, against recurrent dust showers and the first rainstorms of the fall, I still see more blue rectangular than red circles, yet I see either one and thru linking, the other chores pop up in my frontal lobe.

There is nearly the sensation of guilt when my mind has been set on so many other trivia! Everyday sitting was already a routine that I practice for a long time, having quite some experience with meditation and different forms of yoga.

Biggest challenge is to get organized, in these circumstances where table, chair, laptop, electric light and even front door are sorely missing. And yes, that means I skip some beats, but will keep up with the general pace.

On thing I can say is this: my mind is kept really busy!
