MKE Week 3 – Double Trouble

The past week has been challenging, to say the least. Re-reading and revising my DMP was both uplifting and a little intimidating! As I re-read it a few, no many times, old messages would pop up from Subby, I assume, questioning my bright, beautiful life vision and purpose. Questions like, ‘Isn’t this a little much?’, ‘Can you do this?’, ‘Why now? Isn’t it too late?’ etc. etc.

Who’s side are you on Subby? The truth is, Subby is not on anyone’s side. Subby does or says what he/she has been conditioned, trained, programmed to do or say. Subby is good at following orders. But here’s the catch! Who’s orders? Any ones! That’s why it is so important that we, using our conscious minds, keep a close watch at Subby’s door, to keep out unwanted guests, ie. negative messages and limiting beliefs.

I learned the hard way this past week, that keeping negative beliefs from taking over one’s life is easier said than done.

We had a wonderful road trip planned which included some shopping in the U.S. for supplements that aren’t available in Canada, indulging our taste buds at a couple of our favourite restaurants and walks in the sun. On our way home we were going to enjoy a stop-over at the hot springs we so much enjoy, even when temperatures hover around a nose-blueing five degrees Celsius.
Subby, for reasons yet to be determined, had other ideas. The night before leaving for the hot springs, I was rudely awakened with my stomach in revolt. A dash to the bathroom did get the contents of my stomach safely to the toilet in time. No sooner had I started disgorging the previous evening’s restaurant meal, and anything else I ate the day before, when everything in my lower bowel was in a rush to leave from the other end! I was in double trouble at both ends! After an hour or more in purgatory, the worst was over. Fortunately, my severe malaise left as quickly as it had come, and I didn’t require hospital care. The ordeal left me temporarily shaky and weak, but over the next few days I gradually, and thankfully, fully recovered.

Although I missed doing my MKE readings for one day and most of the other exercises for a few days, I never lost hope in the power of this program or my own mind. In fact, I believe that I experienced a rapid healing from whatever bug had temporarily taken me down. The double purging was Subby’s way to help my body.

Maybe there are other lessons to be learned, and I will keep looking for them and continue my readings and exercises. Life can only get better and bigger for Subby and I.
