It has proven challenging to stick to the mental diet. I observed negative thoughts pop into my head. These thoughts emerged out of nowhere. It’s interesting because the negative thoughts were not consciously created.
Unlike deciding what to address in my blog, I did not decide to think negatively about any one subject or situation or object at any one moment. These thoughts emerged from my subconscious.
That shows that my subby needs to be taught to think more positively. Focus on the light, the positive and not the darkness, the negative. Isn’t there always a silver lining?
Fortunately, I noticed, observed, when these negative thoughts emerged. And I consciously said to myself that was a negative thought and that I must do better. So I did. I consciously stopped that negative thought. I did not dwell on the negative thought. I did not follow the negative thought down the rabbit hole. Rather, I stopped it.
I did, at times, replace the negative thought with a positive thought.
Negative thoughts lead to negative outcomes. Positive thinking leads to positive outcomes.
Positive thinking propels one to keep doing, to keep moving forward toward one’s goal.
Negative thinking, especially fear, always keeps one from reaching his goals. It causes one to take actions that torpedoes one’s chances of reaching their goals. It causes hesitation and inaction. It leads to the unlocked door of failure.

Bam, Joshua! The house of happiness is filled with positivity!
