This week in the Master Key Experience, we were introduced to The 7-Day Mental Diet. The goal is simple but challenging: go seven full days without letting negative thoughts take over. If a negative thought slips through and lingers? You start the clock again.
At first, I thought, “How hard can this really be?” Well, let’s just say it’s harder than it sounds. Negative thoughts sneak in so quietly that before you know it, they’ve set up camp. But I learned a few tools this week that helped keep me on track:
- Be Aware. Instead of beating myself up over a negative thought, I practiced noticing it. Just a quick mental note: “That’s frustration,” or “There’s doubt.” No judgment, just awareness.
- The Law of Substitution. When a negative thought appeared, I replaced it with something positive. It’s like swapping junk food for a healthy snack — better for me in the long run. Lean on Scroll II. “I will greet this day with love in my heart.” This line from The Greatest Salesman in the World became my anchor. Focusing on love made it easier to push out negativity.
This exercise made me realize how much I let small, negative thoughts influence my day. By actively choosing positivity, I felt lighter and more in control. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about progress.
I won’t lie — this is a tough challenge. But it’s also rewarding. One thought at a time, I’m learning to feed my mind the positivity it craves. Seven days might feel daunting, but with a little love and awareness, I’m ready to give it my best shot.

Wow, Nathalie, that’s great what you gained through this practice. It’s so true and possible to have our mind be filled with positive thoughts by keen observation and the law of substitute. Keep up the great work and enjoy this process!
