minutes remaining

This week we were tasked to eliminate technology from our lives. I thought, ok no problem. Keeping the TV off has been weird for me as it is often left on in the evenings. Weird, but not undoable.

So, I took this as a win, and still feel that way. Then we get to the phone. OMG the phone. The high powered super computer in a cute lil box in your pocket. Useful for all of my necessary calls and texts and emails.

But devastating to my time when I lose my self in reels on Facebook and you tube. Some days I find that I am more successful than others. While I can pull myself away some days, other days I can’t seem to manage it.

Then there is the gaming on my phone. I do not think I was even AWARE before this week of how much time was being sucked into a gaming vortex on my phone.

On Friday evening as I sit writing my weekly blog, I feel that I have made strides in massively reducing my wasted time on technology. I am still unsure that I was able to successfully reroute myself always to positive alternatives, although I did manage to get thru 250 pages of a novel so far this week and I’m eager to finish it.

Most importantly, for me is that I have begun to be much more observant of myself when I’m on my phone. Did I slip up and scroll, okay that happened and then I am able to shift. I can close the app and readjust myself to something else.

I have also noticed that when I fall into a scroll hole, my brain kind of gets fuzzy and wanders aimlessly and I’m not really in control of what I am thinking. Or at least it feels that way.

As I go thru this Master Key experience, I feel that I am moving forward and getting more and more observant each and every week. And the more observant I become, the more excited that I am as I know that very soon, the new blueprint will take hold with an undeniable fever that will rocket me to my goals.

And I will have more and more conscious control over what I am thinking. And this is a small miracle to me and I feel something that I have not been able to figure out how to do that on my own.

So, thank you so very much for having the vision to put all of this together and roll it out in such a way that we can joyfully follow your instructions to get us to a better life.

  • Good job Heather. The phone, TV, and the computer suck up more time than anyone realizes until they actually check. Even if cutting the time in half frees up a lot of time.

  • Yes, Heather, all too often we find ourselves caught up in the social media trap. Glad we both are learning to ‘let go’!
