In Haanel this week he talks about the three things which all mankind desires: Health, Wealth, and Love. When one boils things down to the most finite things in life, I do believe that those are the most important things. What else is there? Nothing. These three things encapsulate it all.
I think most people would agree that if you don’t have your health, what do you have. Even if you have wealth and love, what good is it if you can’t enjoy them because of poor health. That is the basis for everything. This is including all parts of health; physical, emotional, spiritual.
Regarding wealth, I appreciate that Haanel does point out that what each person considers to be wealth is different for everyone and what would be sufficient for one, would be considered absolute and painful lack or another. That is truth. It all depends on our perspective.
I liked how he talked about nature and its abundance. I see that with the bamboo trees in our backyard. They are so abundant that they leave their leaves that are no longer useful to them all over our lawn. We are the same as nature, we are either growing or dying. I choose growth and abundant wealth so I may bless others just as nature has blessed me.
What would life be like without love? It would be miserable. The opposite of love is the lack of feeling or interest. That doesn’t sound very good to me. Love sums up all types of relationships. Relationships with our pets, friends, family members, strangers we encounter, neighbors, food, activities, vocation, etc. How appropriate that we are reading about greeting each day with love this month. It’s all tied together.
And to experience this world with health, wealth and love we are to now incorporate an amazing affirmation. I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, happy and I added wealthy. Cheers to a new year filled with health, wealth and love.
