Hello everyone, I am Dean Robertson, born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I now reside in Houston, Texas. I moved here last June 2023. Growing up I was very creative and entertaining. I used to love watching all those old variety shows, i.e. Carol Barnett, and many others, which gave me the show bug or entertaining people. I took tap and jazz when I was younger, I was in band in Jr. High and High School. I was a goofy kid after high school I started working at Disney World and was in entertainment doing parades and shows. I do enjoy making people laugh and feel good about themselves and for a moment relaxing from their challenging day.
Then I grew older and started working in the corporate world and things stopped being fun. I guess I learned that you can’t have fun while doing work in the real world or corporate world? Whoever made that a law? I have fun wherever I am, or I try to, that is who I am. So, I had to work around all that. In 2015 I joined Toastmasters which was probably one of the great things I could have joined. Met a lot of great people and I am still active in their organization now.
I never went to college and that is another challenge I faced in 2020 when everyone was working from home due to the coronavirus, I thought what have I not done in life that I always wanted to do. Go to College? So, I registered and in 2023 received my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education. Only one in my immediate family went to college. I am proud of myself for doing that. I may continue but have not decided that yet.
I have always been one for self-improvement and bettering myself, so when I heard about the Master Keys, of course, I was interested. I have learned a lot and can say it is a lot of mental work, especially considering all the bad programming I have to undo. But it is worth the work, and the payoff is going to be GREAT! See you on the other side when you meet the new and improved me!
