On June 1st, 2030, on a beautiful sunny and breezy day in Tennessee, Allissa Richardson, an award-winning author, Journalism Scholar, and professor interviewed Camile Mann on her journey to Entrepreneurship.
Allissa: Hello, I’m Allissa Richardson, a journalist and professor from Washington, DC. I believe in empowering people in the communities to tell their own stories, and I am excited to interview Camile Mann, who grew up in Michigan. Her story is truly encouraging! Camile, thank you for meeting with me today.
Camile: Hello Allissa! Thank you for inviting me. I am glad to be here.
Allissa: You are welcome! I have to say, from your story, you have come a long way. You mentioned you were shy growing up and into your adulthood. Tell us, what made you come out of your wariness?
Camile: I have to say it wasn’t easy. I was always quiet and timid growing up and because I had been that way most of my life, I became comfortable because it was my safety zone. But then, I realized my life was not where I wanted it to be. Being shy wasn’t working for me, so I decided if I want to change my life, I will need to get out of that safety zone.
Allissa: What was in your life you did not like that sparked you to make a change? And What changes did you make to get out of that safety zone?
Camile: I am glad you asked those questions. I felt my career was not getting anywhere, and I went to school and received a bachelor’s degree. I applied for positions I received a degree in and was not getting interviews with success.
It seemed everything I was going for did not come out the way I wanted. I also did not form connections with people many times because of shyness. So, I felt stuck. I explored in different things I thought could help me, like applying for programs offered by the company I used to work for.
But then I was introduced to The Master Key Experience in September 2024. It has helped me tremendously. It helped me understand my old habits and forming new habits. I worked on myself in learning a new way of doing things to come out of that box I was living in for so long.
Allissa: Interesting. What kind of habits?
Camile: My thinking. Changing the way I think. Everything starts with our thoughts.
Allissa: So, changing your old negative way of thinking to a new positive way of thinking?
Camile: Exactly. I used to doubt myself and expected negative outcomes and had little confidence in myself. I had to retrain my mind by picturing my life in the way that fits my desires and think of the desires as if it is already happening.
Part of my desire was to step out with confidence and go for what I want in life. The Master Key Experience has given me exercises such as reading positive quotes over and over from books like The Greatest Salesman in the World by OG Mandino out loud with excitement! That way, I can feel it already occurring.
Most importantly, I thought it was a great idea to do the same with reading scriptures for my spiritual growth. I believe my faith in God and putting him first will cause everything else to fall into place. I believe it takes practice to retrain our minds. The mind is like a muscle. We work it out until we get the results we want.
Allissa: It is amazing that our thoughts are a big part in our success, right?
Camile: Yes! And self-discipline.
Allissa: It is nice to hear you worked on improving yourself. I am sure it brought you to where you are today. Speaking of success. What adventures are you into now?
Camile: Right now, I am part of a capital raising community where I can increase my monthly income working from home and helping others do the same.
Allissa: That is Fascinating. What interests you in getting into that community?
Camile: I wanted to become my own boss. Time is important to me. I no longer wanted to be on anybody else’s clock and wanted freedom to do what I enjoy. Not only financially, but flexibility.
I wanted to travel and enjoy time with my family and friends more and just enjoy life. I believed other people wanted that freedom without having to worry about finances. So, I share this opportunity to those who are interested in getting out of the “rat race” and having the financial freedom to do what they desire.
Allissa: That is awesome, especially with the cost-of-living increase. Many people were struggling financially.
Camile: Yes, which I believe it is important to have multiple streams of income. I also invest in real estate and have an LLC for my Airbnb business. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with having a 9-5. I just believe we should have multiple incomes to cover ourselves from financial turmoil.
Also, we can leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren. What was interesting was there were individuals, not struggling financially, joined this community because they chose to earn multiple incomes from different sources and not just from one.
Allissa: There is nothing wrong with receiving income from multiple sources. We should have the desire for financial freedom to live. We only live once, right? and be able to leave a legacy for our families.
Camile: Most definitely.
Allissa: Camile, I appreciate you spending time sharing your journey with me. Is there anything else you like to share?
Camile: I like to say you are doing a great job letting people be heard. I see that is your passion. I appreciate you making me feel welcomed.
Allissa: I appreciate that! Yes, that is one of my passions. I love helping the community and I will love to sit down and talk with you again.
Camile: I will love that. We should do it again over brunch!
Allissa: Sounds good! Thank you again!
*Closing out*
Allissa: Thank you everyone for joining us. I am Allissa Richardson with Camile Mann. I hope everyone has a great day.
