I am so excited, and I can’t believe I have been interviewed by Petrina D’Souza, of “DARPAN” magazine. “DARPAN” is a premium Canadian South Asian magazine which highlights South Asian community members.
To be featured on it is like being at the awards night. April 13, 2026 was an amazing day to be featured in this magazine in the “Spotlight” section as an inspiring South Asian role model and achiever, who has made significant accomplishments in my respective field and to the societies I reside in.
I was invited to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel at Canada Place for an interview. As I walked in through the double doors of the hotel, the crisp air hitting my face just took my breath away. Seeing the opulence of the beautiful place, hearing soft melodious background music playing, and seeing the white leather sofa with soft light behind it, gave me a cozy feel at the same time.
There were light feather quills with rounded beige, white and grey pebbles on the ivory woven basket displayed on the white stone table shaped in a wavelike figure with a glass top which reminded me of how we are connected to nature even in this pristine setting.
I wore my white linen pants, and tank top with varying shades of white, combined with varying hues of blue with a turquoise softly woven cardigan but fit like it was custom made for me. My hair was tied back in a low side bun with a turquoise flower pinned on it. This is the most elegant I had dressed and felt like an angel walking on clouds.
I was excited and a bit nervous at the same time. But I knew this moment would come and I was so looking forward to it.
Pertina was seated on a sofa across the white table, and we shook hands and gave each other a side hug. As we were about to start the interview, gourmet coffee was served with cinnamon sticks, whipping cream topped with coconut shreddings. I felt comfortable and at ease with myself and the surroundings.
Pertina: Shall we get started now that our introductions are out of the way and coffee is here?
Kiran: Sure, I am all yours and thank you for this amazing opportunity, this is a dream come true having “DARPAN” staff interviewing me.
Pertina: The news has been travelling around Vancouver of some one named Kiran Hundal providing free healing water to all her prospective clients. This got me curious. Healing water, what kind of water is it? And free? Wondering what all this is about.
Kiran: I had a huge smile on my face and was feeling so happy to share my vision of elevating everyone’s health whomever I come across. The water is Hydrogen water, it is considered best for combating dehydration. This water machine has been around over 50 plus years and it is a Japanese product, so you know the quality and care which they put in the products. I give new clients 4 gallons for free to try out and witness the benefits first hand before investing into the product. I have had people come back to me so excited to share their news of better energy, better skin, back pain and knee pain disappearing and too many more to mention here.
Pertina: You have become the talk of greater Vancouver with your Hydrogen water machines. How did you get into this market?
Kiran: My brother owned the machine at one time, but at that time I did not know what the machine was called and all the benefits. I started researching when my son got in to playing high level hockey and was looking for something to ensure he was drinking the best water to help his performance as an athlete. I was also seeing so many family members, friends and neighbours struggling with all sorts of body ailments and poor health in general. I wanted the opportunity to offer something holistic, not another pharma product.
Pertina: What kind of response are you getting in terms of people wanting to purchase it for themselves since it is such an expensive water machine?
Kiran: I have found that it is a product people get amazed by when they get the positive results once tested and they drink the free sample water. All I ask is that they give a genuine try by drinking the free water sample daily and write how they felt before and after until it is finished. The water practically sells itself. I work with everyone to find a way to make the purchase fit within their schedule whether it is a payment plan, a loan, or providing an opportunity for them to earn extra money to enable them to afford the machine.
Pertina: Do you not get concerned when certain clients take the free healing water from you but don’t commit to buy the machine and is it a cost to you to provide the free water?
Kiran: I don’t concern myself with that as I feel I’d rather give everyone the opportunity to experience the healing benefits of Hydrogen water whether they purchase it or not. I don’t to want to miss anyone, and I also know if not now they will come by to purchase it in the future. Besides what you give freely grows more as this is the Law of Compensation. You must give more to get more.
Pertina: What is your long-term goal with this product?
Kiran: I want to see the Kangen Hydrogen water machine in every Naturopath’s office, sports facilities, health bars, various places of worship, exercise facilities and in every home.
Pertina: This interview has been an eye opener and it’s nice to see how this is benefiting the population at large. I am glad we had this opportunity to connect and learn about the unique water machine.
Kiran: This was such a beautiful experience for me and I appreciate you taking the time out to interview me. I would like to give this 4 gallons of Hydrogen water to try for yourself – a token of my appreciation. Promise this is not a sales pitch, I just want you to experience it for yourself.
Petrina: Thank you for the water, and I will keep you posted on any benefits I experience.
Kiran: One more question – when will the interview be published in “DARPAN” magazine?
Petrina: It will be in this week’s edition and I will send you a hard copy for your keeping.

Kiran…great visuals on your story…your passion for sharing true health and your kind heart is very evident in this interview!
