“How We Think Is How We Pray” – Part 2: The Garden of the Mind

Last week, using Haanel’s Chapter 21 as a framework, Shirley, our guide, asked us about Haanel’s introduction when he says, “Unfortunately, there are comparatively few persons who know how to pray.” She then posed the question, “How do we pray?” In a nutshell, I said, prayer is our thoughts—all our thoughts.

I then quoted a few statements from Haanel in the beginning sections of that chapter, particularly Sections 3-5, and compared them to Paul the Apostle in Thessalonians when he says, “Pray without ceasing.” The only way to pray without ceasing is through our continual thoughts.

What if all our thoughts were prayers? I mentioned in a previous blog about “The Sits” and how I had a certain routine, yet the Master Key Experience (MKE) helped me 10X that routine into something with focused intention. Well, through Haanel, I have also been able to 10X my prayer life. Let me explain.

In 2020, when everything shut down, the busyness of my life came to a halt. All the networking, running around, and coffee meetings became a thing of the past. I found myself alone in the house with Roxy, my black lab. Being a Blue, I deeply missed my connection with people. The stillness, the “quiet,” and the lack of distraction grew deafening.

Looking back, this was exactly what I needed. Every part of my life grew exponentially. I needed to slow down and get to know myself again. Once I stepped away from the busyness, my priorities, values, and the things of real importance became crystal clear.

Because of the lockdown and COVID, I was forced to connect online. All my networking and business connections were done through Zoom. It was during this time that I was invited to a prayer group that changed my prayer life forever.

This was an online group from around the world that connected with heaven, God, and the supernatural in a depth I had never imagined possible. I learned to pray in a much deeper way—to enter God’s realm and commune with Him in a personal, intimate way.

I was taught how to walk into God’s presence using my mind, thoughts, and sacred imagination to build a garden in my mind. Day by day, I cultivated my own Garden of Eden, which always drew me into a deeper, more intimate connection with the spiritual—a deeper form of prayer.

Using my imagination, I visualized Yeshua (Jesus) greeting me at the gate, welcoming me in. I saw the animals, a koi pond (10X bigger than the one in my backyard), and even a warm and cuddly tiger always welcoming me into this sacred place.

It was there that I could be with Yeshua, Yehovah, and the Holy Spirit without any physical boundaries. This was just the beginning. There were times when I would go into my mansion, into different rooms, to have different conversations for different reasons. My time in prayer felt like time stood still.

I used this realm to mend relationships, understand my parents better (both have passed), and, most importantly, to deepen my understanding of YeHoVah and the unseen in a profoundly powerful way. The “rest” I experienced in 2020-2021 cured me of the chronic fear that had plagued me my entire life.

Fast forward to the fall of 2022—I started my MKE journey. Through Haanel, the webinars, Og, crafting my DMP, and the tools and tips I’ve learned in MKE, I’ve been able to take this form of prayer and 10X it.

What I mean is that I combined what I call “imaginary prayer” with MKE’s precise, positive language in the present tense to create my world through prayer in this realm. And every year in MKE, I learn a little more, and my intention and focus become even clearer.

Using Haanel’s words:

• Section 12 – “Predominant thought is the magnet.”

• Section 13 – “Mental attitude—to change conditions, we must change our thoughts.”

• Section 16 – “Change requires determination, ability, talent, courage, power, or any other spiritual power. These are necessary essentials for your picture; build them in. They are the vital part of the picture; they are the feeling that combines the thought and creates the irresistible magnetic power that draws the things you require to you.”

• Section 17 – “Do not hesitate to aspire to the highest possible attainments. The mind forces are ever ready to lend themselves to a purposeful will in the effort to crystallize its highest aspirations into acts, accomplishments, and events.”

• Section 26 – “The key is to recognize the divinity of the human spirit. To recognize that all power comes from within.”

Haanel’s words have powerfully helped me guide my thoughts with precise language, visualize my day with intention, and stay even closer to my heart’s intuition. I can sincerely say that “Life with YeHoVah is an amazing adventure.” He truly leads me step by step—if I take the time to be still, listen, and have the courage to act!

Plant your thoughts wisely. They will take root. There is so much joy to be experienced and shared. Landscape your garden with intention and focus and invite others into it to enjoy it with you.
