Becoming Successful
Hello hello all,
I am a big fan of the television show The Voice. I love to watch the competition shows because, for me, it exemplifies regular people from everyday life putting themselves out there in front of the whole world to pursue their dreams. This past week we watched as a family: me, my mother, and my grandmother.
One of coaches, Kelsea Ballerini, shared her recipe for success and it made me reflect on the Master Key Experience (MKE). She stated that it takes four things to be successful, talent, kindness, work ethic and audacity.
Talent
Talent is God given. We all have talents and it is different for every person. This reminds me of the PPN’s (personal pivotal needs). What drives one does not drive another.
So, what is it that we were called to do? What is our purpose? What is our bliss? As students in MKE we had to figure this out for ourselves and really explore what it is that we NEED to do in order to be happy and fruitful in this life. But we must be in alignment with our true gifts.
Kindness
Then there’s kindness. Before MKE, kindness was just that, kindness. It feels good and I appreciate it others. But who knew that kindness can change your entire existence.
Focusing on kindness in others and giving kindness while present, and then masterminding on kindness literally changed my entire frequency and everyone in my sphere was affected by it. It was literally one of the most magical experiences that I ever had.
So why is kindness so important to our success? Because it all starts with our frequency. With kindness we can affect change in such a big way. People respond to kindness and its people who make you successful.
For unless my mood is right the day will be a failure. Trees and plants depend on the weather to flourish but I make my own weather, yea I transport it with me. OG MANDINO.
So powerful! When I bring the sunshine with me then I will be warm and illuminated and growth is inevitable. Kindness is that good weather and I too will bring kindness with me wherever I go for the same reasons.
Work Ethic
Work Ethic. Weve gone over work ethic continuously in this course.
I will persist until I succeed. OG MANDINO.
Knowledge does not apply itself. Charles Haanel.
And the one phrase that will stick with me is that “It’s easy to do and its easy not to do.” Work ethic is about finishing what you started with integrity. It’s about doing what you know, to the best of your ability and learning or delegating the rest.
Work ethic is mental labor. Its whatever it takes and being consistent. Because without good work ethic we cannot become successful.
Audacity
Audacity. This is the word that stood out above all the rest for me although all are equally important. In MKE what this means to me is that you are willing to answer the call.
What do you desire and are you willing to go through all of the trials and change that must happen to complete what you are called to do? One must be audacious or be willing to take bold risk.
The audacity to shed old skin and start a new life, to live everyday with love in your heart for yourself and your fellow man despite the circumstances, to persist when its painful, to look for and recognize miracles, to control one’s emotions when out of the comfort zone and the audacity to live each day as if it’s your last, knowing that these moments are not promised.
These principles that have been gifted to all of us in MKE absolutely put us in alignment for success. We must own our future before it manifests. So, there’s no room for any negative thought or emotions on the journey as they only derail us.
We must be willing to go where we have never gone before and do things never done. We must be willing to live in uncertainty. This takes audacity and we all have it!
Congrats to the MKE Class of 2024-2025!
Peace and Blessings,

I feel humbled to have been with you this last 6 months and seen your growth and learnt from you with your honesty and vulnerability.
Well done and there’s still ‘at least’ one more week to go!
I love your selection of words, Lakia! Excellent post!
