Utilizing Powerful Mental Tools
The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. – Robert Tew
Over the past few years, many hurdles have appeared during my life’s journey. Some have been easy to overcome, a few took time to jump over and some have caused me to stand next to them to figure out how to get past them.
Over the past six months, I have been given powerful mental tools to help me overcome the mental hurdle of jumping over the obstacles I previously struggled with. The powerful tools given to encourage self-directed thinking has been a blessing.
Oftentimes I would seek advice from a variety of people if I am struggling to get moving on something that needs to be dealt with. Becoming more of a self directed thinker has also caused me to lessen the radius of who I talk to about matters I am pondering; if I think I am not hearing a clear message from within and/or I am truly stumped on what to do.
When I do talk to people I pray I am hearing words from the heart that are in my best interest and/or God is sending a message through the person.
Being taught to be silent and seek answers from within is beneficial. If I am not silent, I cannot hear. Being silent has also helped me to relax and unpack my thoughts. If I think of the entire situation at once, I will be hesitant to tackle it.
If I tackle it bit by bit, I will have taken care of it and have gotten one more thing off of my mind. Staying focused has helped me knock down items I need to take care of and it has helped me gain the peace of mind I have been searching for.
