As we progress through week 8 of the Master Key Experience (MKE), I’ve had several situations where I observed myself and reflected on my behaviour, armed with new knowledge about the mind body connection.

As I am now learning that we can either fall into our old patterns with stimulus – with predictable responses or we can choose to have new stimulus with choices and positive responses.

This has been incremental changes week by week through the use of reading our cards 3x daily along with our DMP’s and Press Release.

Being the observer, I noticed that I was being stressed at one point and not watching TV for several years but then out of the blue I started to watch NCIS, murder shows, cold cases etc. I realized that these shows were stressful. I had body reactions, I would tense up but for some reason I would binge watch the shows.

I took a long pause to ask myself why was I doing this? Why was I watching shows that were stressful to me. Not funny, not up lifting at all? I realized I was making new choices in my life and I was reprogramming my subconscious mind.

I also realized I was living more consciously being in gratitude, making an effort to be more positive and distance myself from all the horrors and negative news in the world. Especially alternative news.

I knew over 40 years ago that the nightly news was making me feel sick therefore, I stopped watching mainstream news in my late teens, but I had found other areas to submerse myself in that were still negative by way of alternative news.

After meditating and contemplation regarding my falling back on watching old television programs that were actually feeding my body with the peptides from stress, I realized I was making unconscious decisions to feed by body the stress hormones and feed the peptide addictions.

This was something that I have been addicted to unconsciously usually through my work environment. Once I realized my choices were not benefiting me physically nor supporting me to create my dream life, I turned the TV off completely again.

Making a conscious choice to find new habits and choices that were positive to support my dream life I was wanting to create. These new choices were part of the program with MKE through the daily exercises and readings 3x per day my DMP, Press Release etc.

Another issue I have been aware of for a long time is that my way to cope with problems, stress etc. is to bury myself in work, or assignments. MKE has been no different. I will forgo sleep and push myself to exhaustion wanting to succeed no matter what.

This has been my addiction that I am needing to work at, consciously. Until the information was presented to me, I did not realize that there was a chemical addiction to peptides from being a workaholic.

That my subconscious mind would have me do things like work through the night with no sleep to get those natural chemicals from the stress I was so used to. WoW. Some big aha moments.

Now to utilize the tools we are being taught to implement changes to my daily habits, even if it is small increments daily, 1% daily, will be gradual enough but very effective in changing my daily habits and thus changing my life.

This week has been all about the Law of Practice “Practice makes perfect. The 5P’s – Perfect Practice Prevents Poor Performance. Our bewilderment of magnificence in others, upon further inspection, finds….. As Wooden shares you’ll find most of it is practice, the rest of it is work.

With practice of the correct things, we improve – on the other 6 Laws of the Mind.” The second Law we are learning in week 8 is the Law of Dual Thought “Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.”

So, by week 8 we have been putting into practice many exercises designed to reprogram our subconscious mind for success. We have also been observant of our thoughts and changing our thoughts every time we have a negative thought with a positive thought.

These two laws of the mind then correlate to the” Law of Growth. Whatever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies.” So, when we consciously make new choices, create new habits we influence our subconscious mind which begins to work 24/7 to create the new programs we have sent from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind, therefore becoming the captain of our own ship – our dream life realized thought by thought, moment by moment.
