So, last week I was struggling with forgiveness.
It went better this week!
Thank goodness.
What helped was that I listened to a podcast about narcissistic behaviour.
It helped a lot!
What struck me was that once we accept other people for who and what they are without any expectation, we take our power back.
We have to accept that their brokenness is exactly that, their brokenness!
We cannot control how other people act, we can only control our response to their actions.
The challenge is to pause and respond instead of an immediate reaction.
When we react without pausing and thinking, we tend to make things worse instead of better.
More often than not we make things worse for ourselves.
A response requires self-control.
And that is one of the many skills we are busy learning on this Master Key Experience (MKE) journey.
Response comes from within and not in reaction to what comes from outside or from other people.
When hurt people try to hurt us, we can step back and say this does not really have anything to do with me.
We are all golden on the inside, but unfortunately we all have layers of cement or more specifically layers of shit covering the gold.
On this MKE journey we are busy chipping away our own layers of cement, but the people in our lives are not on this journey with us.
Sadly they are living their seemingly happy lives with all the layers of cement stuck on them.
And then sadly sometimes their shit come our way.
And unfortunately, truth be told, I have thrown a lot of my own shit in the direction of other people too.
This is where radical acceptance of everyone including myself comes in.
I accept people as they are while taking responsibility for myself to keep chipping away at my own cement.
Trusting that the more gold I show to others, the more they will want to start chipping away at their own cement.
The only way to defeat darkness is with bright light!
I will let my light shine regardless of what other people do or don’t do!

I love your Blog, it so resonates with me and situations currently in my life! As I read it a wave of peace came over me, I am saving it to read every once in a while and share with others! Thank you
