To Post or Not to Post: My Journey Toward Social Media

For much of my life, social media felt like an exclusive club where I didn’t belong. It seemed noisy, overwhelming, and often superficial. I crafted a long list of reasons to stay away: “It’s not for me,” “I don’t have the time,” “It’s too complicated.”

Looking back, I see these weren’t reasons at all but limiting beliefs—walls I built to avoid stepping into a new and potentially transformative space. The raw reality? I was afraid of being judged by others who might disagree with my views, lacking the confidence to stand firmly in my convictions.

Life, however, has a way of nudging us toward growth. For me, that nudge came from my mentor, Mark Januszewski. His teachings, particularly the insight that “The Source seeks the channels whereby it can render the greatest good, the most service for the greatest number of people,” profoundly shifted my perspective.

I realized my hesitations about social media weren’t just personal—they were a missed opportunity to serve, connect, and contribute. Social media isn’t about chasing likes or mindless scrolling.

It’s a tool for sharing value, building authentic connections, and amplifying my voice in alignment with my greater purpose. What a liberating realization!

Breaking Through Old Beliefs

With my mindset transformed, I no longer let outdated programming dictate my reality. I embrace my true self and the omniscient force within me, ready to take action.

Special thanks go to Davene Januszewski and her team and special guest Andrea Waltz for the invaluable Digital Solutions webinars within the Master Key Experience. These sessions help me navigate social media with purpose and clarity.

I discovered that writing blogs and posting on social media isn’t about perfection; it’s about authenticity. Each post and interaction is an opportunity to share what matters to me and make a positive impact on someone else’s life.

Unveiling My Authentic Self

One of the most freeing aspects of this journey has been letting go of perfection. I once thought social media demanded a flawless, curated version of myself. But I’ve learned that authenticity resonates far more than perfection.

It’s okay to show up as I am—imperfect, learning, and growing. Whether I’m writing a blog, sharing a post, or commenting on someone else’s journey, my goal is to be real. Authenticity fosters trust, and trust builds meaningful connections.

I also see that social media isn’t about competition or comparison; it’s about community. There’s room for everyone to thrive, and we’re stronger when we lift each other up.

Gratitude and Growth

Looking back, I’m profoundly grateful for the lessons that brought me here. Today, I view social media as a powerful tool for growth and service. It’s no longer a platform I avoid but one I embrace to share my truth, connect with others, and serve a greater purpose.

To Post or Not to Post?

So, in answer to my question—To Post or Not to Post? The verdict is clear: Yes, absolutely, 100%! Posting is no longer a daunting challenge but an empowering affirmation of growth, connection, and purpose. It’s about showing up authentically, serving others, and lighting up the digital world with positivity.

And that is my truth!
