I Am Nature’s Greatest Miracle
Having read the passage from Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World,” specifically Chapter 11, scroll marked IV, titled “I am Nature’s Greatest Miracle,” more than 85 times, I find it deeply moving.
Each time I revisit it, I affirm to myself, “It’s me.” A particularly striking line states, “No beast, no plant, no wind, no rain, no rock, no lake had the same beginning as I.”
This perspective illuminates my existence as a unique creation, experiencing my first birth — an event filled with love, purpose, and divine intention.
The text reminds me that I was conceived in love and brought forth with a purpose, a realization that has profoundly impacted my understanding of my life.
I also experienced a second rebirth when I rededicated my life to God, reinforcing the belief that I am indeed nature’s greatest miracle. This realization inspires my life with a sense of responsibility and purpose: to serve humanity.
I strive to treat my fellow human beings — my brothers and sisters — with the same kindness and respect I wish for myself. I am reminded of the principle that what we do for the least among us, we do for Him. There is no greater service than this.
Reading Mandino’s work is a privilege; his wisdom is rare and invaluable in today’s world. I cherish witnessing the growth within myself and others in this class and eagerly anticipate further development as we continue on this journey together.
