Purposeful Patience and Aligning with my DMP

I love weddings.
And funerals.

Weddings celebrate the union of two people, bringing an outpouring of love and support from family and friends. They are a moment to witness bright hopes for the future, to take it to heart, and to call upon the collective strength of the community to support those embarking on a new journey together.

Funerals, on the other hand, honor a life well-lived — or not. They are a lens through which we evaluate the fulfillment of one’s purpose.

A part of this week’s Master Key Experience assignment had me reading obituaries, and I found myself drawn to a variety of lives. There were the shooting stars — those who lit up the world briefly but brilliantly. There were the centenarians, some revered as living legends, and others who lived quietly in love and service.

Reflecting on my own life, I can recognize many accomplishments:
• I served my country and community, though I became disconnected after my divorce.
• I achieved my highest-paying job at the age of 61, only to leave it because my heart wasn’t in it.
• I left a remarkable academic career to follow my calling as a wellness and weight loss coach.

Still, I aspire to live out Og Mandino’s wisdom: “My last days shall be my best.”

But I also realize something profound — I’ve been pretending. Pretending not to know:
• That hard work always precedes leverage.
• That I already have enough tools, knowledge, and relationships to achieve my 2025 goal.
• That to gain momentum, I must release the things that no longer serve me.
• That even when a detour arises, as long as I remain connected to the Universal Mind, I will receive divine guidance to navigate transitions.

As I ask myself, “What would the person I am becoming do next?” I am reframing what feels slow or stagnant. What seems like inertia is actually the process of strengthening — sinking deeper roots to anchor the next stage of my journey.

Patience with purpose. That is the key. The pieces are falling into place, and I trust that I am aligning with my purpose to live my greatest and best life yet.
