What Would the Person I Intend to Become Do Next?

At this very moment, I have two choices: to act as my future, empowered self or to remain in the comfort of my current habits. The person I intend to become—the one who fully embodies the wisdom of Og Mandino and Charles Haanel—would take deliberate action, not merely wish for transformation.

Og Mandino reminds me that I am nature’s greatest miracle. No one before me has ever had my exact combination of talents, insights, and experiences, and no one after me ever will. This means I have a unique purpose to fulfill. The question is: am I stepping into that purpose, or am I hesitating?

According to Charles Haenel’s The Master Key System, the mind is the master architect of reality. If I desire success, abundance, or happiness, I must first create it in my thoughts. Every thought I entertain – whether constructive or destructive—sets in motion the forces that shape my destiny. My highest self understands this and takes action accordingly.

So, what does this version of me do next?

  • 1. Thinks and acts with intention – My future self does not let the day unfold by chance. They set clear, definite goals, knowing that clarity is power. They visualize success, affirm their capabilities, and move with confidence.
  • 2. Embraces disciplined action – Knowing without doing is wasted wisdom. My ideal self applies what they learn, takes risks, and remains steadfast in their commitments. They do not succumb to procrastination or distractions.
  • 3. Remains persistent despite obstacles – Every challenge is merely an opportunity in disguise. My highest self recognizes that obstacles are tests of worthiness, designed to strengthen resolve. They press forward, no matter how difficult the path.
  • 4. Operates with faith, not fear – Fear is an illusion, a mental construct that weakens the will. My future self operates from a place of trust – in themselves, in their vision, and in the universal laws that govern success.
  • 5. Honors their uniqueness – No one else in the world has my exact skills, ideas, and potential. The person I intend to become embraces their individuality, refusing to compare themselves to others or seek external validation.
  • 6. Develops a habit of gratitude – Gratitude unlocks abundance. My future self appreciates every step of the journey, knowing that even setbacks contain hidden blessings.

The next step is always clear when I silence the noise of self-doubt and listen to the wisdom within. My future self already exists—I simply need to align my thoughts, emotions, and actions with that reality.
