After last week’s mega-drive (which the Universe smiled upon us the entire time) we arrived in Ft. Myers, FL. Yep … 42 hours of driving. Lots of heart-felt talks, a few tears, lots of laughter, a few “side-adventures” met with an open mind and adventurous spirit. What a true blessing this trip was.
The gracious hostess that put up my friend and me was just an amazing, loving, and welcoming person. She lives alone. She’s been caring for her mom (mean mom) for years. They moved her into Assisted Living a while back.
Well, she passed away the next morning. I am so glad that Donna & I had the deep talks we’d had the night before. I’m grateful that we were there to help her work through her feelings. That our arms were there for her.
We did our laundry, ate great food, had wonderful conversations, and got the car an oil change and had them fix the undercarriage shield that needed screwed back in.
We headed to Port Canaveral a few days before the cruise and Handsome Husband joined us there. So awesome to hug my sweet man. He’s simply the best. Love him with all my heart. What a lucky woman I am.
Had some great visits with others. Got ourselves all prepped to get on the ship … and we sailed away.
Two yellows on a mission with great attitudes. A great combination for a wonderful trip.
