Gratitude

Gratitude is on the same frequency as abundance. It’s interesting that gratitude and abundance share the same frequency – many people find that actively practicing gratitude helps them notice and attract more positive experiences into their lives. I have already noticed this in my life.

In the beginning of November, I was challenged by a mentor to really focus on gratitude for the month since it is the month we celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States. I thought I would offer up the same challenge to a group of my friends. I asked them to join me and asked them to text two gratitudes a day for 30 days on our group text.

I thought it would help me stay on top of the gratitudes since I would be held accountable especially since I was the one who initiated it with this group of friends. The accountability helped me maintain the habit of texting two gratitudes a day. And when I hadn’t texted a gratitude and someone else in the group did, it reminded me to post mine.

Reading the other people’s gratitudes made me aware of being thankful for some things that I may have taken for granted. It was nice to see what others were grateful for. I think it brought our group closer together.

Setting up this shared gratitude practice created a powerful ripple effect with one of the people in the group in particular.

I was talking with one of my friends from the group chat the other day and she was telling me that by focusing on gratitude for the month of November it helped her to start seeing things differently and she has consciously made a decision to focus on gratitude instead of on the things she would normally complain about.

So, I shared with her what we were doing in the Master Key Experience class. That we were writing down three gratitudes a day on index cards, and that they had to be new every time. I explained to her the law of growth and how what we focus on expands so focusing on gratitude will bring more abundance into our lives.

I also shared with her the practice of writing down on index cards the successes we’ve had in life and how we are to look at them several times a day to put into our subconscious all the accomplishments we’ve achieved over our lifetime. And how that would help her focus on the good in her life.

I’m grateful that the challenge given to me and that I passed onto my friends made an impact on at least one of my friends. It’s one ripple in the pond. More gratitude and abundance are being put out into this wonderful sea of energy we live in.

I’m grateful that we have added the three gratitudes a day to our practice in this class. It keeps me on track with being grateful every day!
