Peace and Clarity of Vision

Checking Ben Franklin´s inspired list of moral virtues. I decided to begin with the one entitled “well-organized”. This is a hard one for me. However, being organized is a powerful tool that transforms our daily life.

I discovered that every time I take a moment to organize my tasks, space, or even my thoughts, I feel a unique emotion: inner peace. The feeling of having control, of knowing what I have to do and when to do it, gives me mental clarity that allows me to face any challenge with confidence.

Organization gives me the freedom to be more efficient, which translates into less stress and more time to enjoy what truly matters. This week, as I began to organize spaces, and I saw that my belongings are in place and my schedule is well-structured, I felt a lightness, a feeling of spaciousness to allow productivity and new things to come in.

As I looked for examples of being “well-organized” and battleshipping the concept, I discovered it everywhere.

Let us think about the windows in our home. Windows are essential elements of any building, allowing light, air, and a view of the world outside. The process of making windows, like any other object, involves a clear understanding of dimensions, materials, and fitting.

They are not simply placed in any random opening — they must be installed with care and precision.

When we open or close a window, we are subconsciously reminded of the importance of order: the window must be aligned, the frame must be intact, and it must be sealed so that water or wind don´t filter through. It allows us to look out from the inside, just like our eyes look out from within, establishing perfect harmony and balance between two worlds, two realities.

Every item in our environment, from the simplest object to the most complex system, reminds us of the value of organization. When we approach life with a sense of order, we create structures that are functional, efficient, and sustainable.

Whether it’s a chair, a window, a TV, or stairs, organization is the invisible thread that holds everything together. It’s not just about making things work — it’s about making life flow.

We can take this lesson and apply it to everything we do. Organizing our tasks, setting clear goals, and managing our time with intention so that we can transform our lives.

Just as a well-made window provides a view and a different perspective on things, a well-organized life provides peace and clarity of vision and “the more clear you are about what you want, the more likely you are to achieve it.”
