Power
“The great fact is that the source of all power is from within.” -Master Key System 5:22
A statement that has changed my life in the last year. At first I thought I don’t think I have anything to think about other than experiences from the past. After doing the exercises I began to think of creating things like new recipes, learning more about apps and online blogs, creating faster ways to clean the home, or gardening methods, and battleshipping.
I use a day planner, write lists of chores, but my subconscious takes over and I am automatically cleaning the counters, or some other task that has been programmed in my brain. After a few minutes I realize that I started a task but got distracted.
How do I stop thinking about many things (daydreaming) and reel myself back in? I try to do one task at a time but have so many things to do. I am always thinking of the next thing while I am finishing that task. I never finish everything on my list.
Any ideas?

Joan, I love how you’re diving into the power of thought and recognizing how your subconscious is already working for you! It’s fascinating how our minds can take over with ingrained habits, even when we have the best intentions to stay present.
As for your question—how to stop thinking about many things and reel yourself back in—one trick that has helped me is using a mental “reset” word or phrase. Something simple like “Right here, right now, do it now” or “Finish this first, do it now” can act as a cue to refocus on the present task. Have you tried setting a timer for each task to keep your attention locked in? It might help with that tendency to jump ahead to the next thing.
And let’s be real… finishing everything on a list is near practically a myth! Maybe it’s less about checking all the boxes and more about fully engaging in with whatever is in front of you at the moment. What do you think? 😊
