MKE Week 4 – Down with the Sit-ness

Well I am certainly vibing with the reads and sits. Reflecting on my past and situations I have been in has certainly come full circle for me and I am amazed at how everything I need is right in front of me. Lessons to be learned growth ready to happen. I am in a new role as the Media Director for a church and while there is plenty to do I am finding my challenges to be in alignment with my PPN’s and I had some second guessing on them.
I am in a unique situation where I am confronted with becoming something I despised or being a better person than that thing I despised. Without elaborating too much in a public forum the emotions run deep with this one and while the easy path for me is to just get in and do the work, work I am used to doing and am good at, I am now in the place where I can be a mentor and a guide to someone.
When I was in a similar situation I was made to feel like I was not good enough and not given a fair chance to explain myself even to the point of getting bad reviews for the way I did something. I had wondered , although I really already knew the answer, if put in a similar situation where I was in the other role how I would act or come across and here the situation presents itself.
I made the right decision after realizing I was in a situation where I could be helpful or be criticizing. I guess I always knew how I would act but life just played a cosmic role reversal on me because my thought… that energy I had dwelled on it so often these last few years… I literally created and brought to me the thing I had been thinking about. The thing I desired and knew would come when I was ready for it but in a form I did not expect.
Seriously blown away by the situation this week and how it is reinforcing all these things I already knew.
Most people allow their thoughts to dwell on selfish purposes the inevitable result of an infantile mind. When the mind becomes mature it understands that the germ of defeat is in every selfish thought.
The trained mind knows that every transaction must benefit every person who is in anyway connected with the transaction and any attempt to profit by the weakness, ignorance or necessity of another will inevitable operate to his disadvantage. This is because the individual is a part of the universal. A part cannot antagonize any other part but on the contrary the welfare of each part depends on the recognition of the interest of the whole. Those who recognize this principle
