Franklin Makeover
My word for the Franklin Makeover is Courage. The definition of courage is the ability to do something that frightens you or strength in the face of fear.
The task of this exercise is to find courage anywhere in your life whether in your work life, home life, or in others. My first day, Monday I was able to find 3 acts of courage. I found it in other people.
Courage is my weakest trait. I am trying to educe it out of me. I tend to be shy and not able to display courage. I would like it, but it is hard for me to step into the unknown. Anything that is new frightens me and I push back against it.
On Tuesday I didn’t see any courage. I was pretty busy that day with work. On Wednesday I found 3 courageous things that day. I was one of them.
I was in a committee meeting, and I was new to the group. I stepped into the unknown and plunged into the unknown. It took courage for me to do that. I was greeted with kindness, and everyone was pleased that I had joined the committee.
I had done it. I continued on and focused on finding those hidden courage’s for the rest of the week. I put my attention on finding more courage. What we focus on will grow. I have grown this week and will continue to be courageous even though it can be scary.
