Mully Review
After receiving the movie list, I had only actually seen one of the movies listed. So, at random, I picked one that was available to watch on my streaming service, Mully.
From a child who was abandoned by his family at 6 years old and left to fend for himself, he battled and fought to become a business man, husband and father.
And at a point at which he had reached a pinnacle of success, a millionaire who owned multiple businesses, he was reminded of where he started and had an awakening or a mission handed to him by God. To help and save the street kids of Kenya.
From that moment, he declared that he would no longer work for money and he would work towards making a difference in the lives of these children.
He forged forward with unwavering faith and belief in his mission. Even when he was turned away from his church, even when his own children did not understand.
At every obstacle, they prayed, and help appeared to lead them on the path forward. When the number of children rescued exceeded what he could hold in his home, he relocated them all to an empty property without even a well and started to build a compound.
With the drought, times were very hard, but they prayed harder, and were guided to a place where water could be found and they dug a well. Just on the faith that he believed it was there. And water they found.
With that problem handled, they created hydroponic farms for produce and fish, planted trees and effectively over time created an entire ecosystem that is thriving.
While providing food and shelter for the children they also taught life skills so that they could grow up and become active contributing members of society and be a force to move Kenya forward. Their school system was the #1 educational spot in all of Kenya.
This film was made back in 2015. And they have helped thousands of abandoned or orphaned children and their organization has grown to five locations around Kenya.
They help in times of crisis and are always available to feed the children of Kenya. They have built a farming empire dedicated to helping the children of Kenya.
Somehow, he just knew. He had unwavering faith and 100% certainty that he was doing the right thing. He pushed forward with a vision so clear he was able to get his family on board and his children are now running different departments of this company.
He set clear goals and let nothing distract him from his mission. He chose to give. He chose love. He did not judge. He chose only to help. He chose persistence. He refused to allow negativity to derail him from his goals.
And the Universe bent to help him accomplish this. But it started with his decision and 100% commitment to the mission and to figure out how to make it work, as he went along.
What an incredible life. Filled with purpose, love and happiness. It’s hard to come up with just one takeaway, but I think most importantly, it is to go after your mission/purpose in life with abandon and give it 100% of your efforts. If you go for it and persist, you will succeed.
I hope that one day I am so vividly directed to a purpose that allows me to have such a rich and fulfilling life.
