Mully
I’m still trying to source the movies,. So far, have watched Door-to-Door and Mully. Here are some reflections about Mully:
It is evident that Mully is driven by his vision of helping orphans and impoverished youth. He has a support system of his family and the people who believe in his vision. He overcame terrific obstacles to establish multiple communities modeled after his farm. We see instances of Divine intervention coming to Mully’s aid or rescue.
One caveat that I saw in this film, which has also plagued me: We are at all times in danger of mistaking our own imaginations for the voice of the Holy Spirit. This unfortunate dynamic may have been at work when Mully sent his biological children to boarding school in order to accommodate his expanding rescue mission. In my case, such a choice would be in conflict with my mission to improve the lives of children.
Other than that, Mully is an excellent example of faith, hard work, and perseverance as well as being guided by the Divine.
