Think for Yourself From Within
I watched October Sky and Cool Runnings on Prime Video tonight.
In October Sky the female teacher Miss Riley was the person it took to tell Homer that he needs to be whomever he wants to be and not what anyone else thinks he should be. His dream & his passion were accomplished by his constant persistence.
In Cool Runnings (Peace be the Journey) it was when Yul Brenner ushered Junior Bevil into the men’s room at the bar and made him look at himself in the mirror and something to the effect that he will not be pushed around and that he is somebody.
And made him repeat it, and repeat it and again – repeat it with ENTHUSIASM! It really came through when Junior’s father came to take him back home and Junior respectfully said he was staying.
Derice showed he was not a quitter after losing the 100 meter race. He simply chose a different path so he could be a winner.
The entire team demonstrated persistence and even though they did not win a medal, they were winners in their minds because after the steering cable let loose, they carried the bobsled and still finished the race.
Both were excellent and tearjerkers. Glad I watched them in the basement by myself. I will be watching Door-to-Door and Rudy very soon.
Thank you Mark!
I did not come this far to have it end abruptly.
I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.
I can be if I will it to be.
I always keep my promise.
