Tilling the Soil Via Forgiveness
Law of Forgiveness
Week Two, the Laws of the Mind were introduced to us and now we have completed our review of them one at a time.
I am choosing to look at these laws in the same order as we have proceeded through them in this course, while there could be different orders to consider them based on any logical hierarchy or priority that seems significant. Perhaps when we are done with this, something not now obvious will appear.
The Law of Forgiveness: we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel between our subconscious and the Divine.
Forgiveness is a crucial preparation, groundwork, foundation that must be laid and always kept clear in order for our minds to function as they were designed.
Any sort of ongoing anger or resentment, grudge, ill-feelings that exist due to hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness and cynicism must be eliminated by developing love for the whole of mankind. Our Blueprint Builder statement, read out loud, daily builds this into our subconscious mind.
Unforgiveness is a chronic problem that must be dealt with by an all-encompassing attitude of love, and therefore we must examine ourselves at each instance of negative feeling rearing its head to determine if granting forgiveness and building love is the needed and appropriate antidote.
Og’s Scroll II as we have been reading this month, begins:
I will greet this day with love in my heart for this is the greatest secret to success in all of life’s ventures. Og Mandino
This wonderful scroll teaches us how to create an attitude of love and thus remove all of the negative results of unforgiveness and outward manifestations of hurt.
Love is a positive action we choose to take in every circumstance. The apostle Paul writes in his letter to the ancient church in Corinth, Greece, that Love is the most important. If we do not have love, our words are only noise, the work of our mind and our faith to act are nothing, and whatever we give up gains us nothing. It simply means that without love, the system is broken.
Paul goes on to say how we know love when we see it or how we should determine to practice it: Love is patient and kind, always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres, rejoices with the truth, honors and seeks the best for others, practices forgiveness, remembers only the good, and Love does not fail.
Love always remains, consistent, steadfast, enduring. This is the foundation. This is why we begin here, because forgiveness is Love.
A lovely and deep consideration of the Law of forgiveness and our inherent foundation of love. Thank you for sharing your contemplation Janet.
I love this blog post, Janet! Love IS Forgiveness!
