A Bizarre Feeling
It was a Bizarre Feeling Sunday Afternoon as we drove down the Main Street in our town. There was very little traffic, changing lanes was no problem. The traffic lights all changed fast. It was almost as if we had the road entirely to ourselves.
When we got home and got out of the truck both my wife and I had an eerie feeling. Something was not normal. The Highway which is not real close but close enough that you can hear traffic going down it was quiet.
There was a silence which was not normal at that time of the day.
Then it hit us. It was The Super Bowl. What other event would have pulled people off the Streets and into their homes. I was impressed. We both just stood there and listened to the silence of no traffic.
What does this have to do with Master Key Experience (MKE) and the Personality Color Codes? Nothing really, but let’s look at some of the lessons that could be drawn from this situation.
People are drawn like metal to a magnet, to things that promise to be exciting, in anticipation that something big will happen.
This could and is used in business and life. The evidence that this is true was shown in the streets that afternoon. It is evident that weeks of anticipation, no I would say years of promotion did in fact work.
There were Super Bowl Parties, Super Bowl Treats, Shirts, Hats, Food displays, party favors, Ads of all kinds before, after, and during the game. Quite a frenzy. And quite successful I would say.
Another take away could be, if you want to play where the big money is you need to play hard all year long. A little bit of effort, occasionally, is not going to get you into the big game. Consistency is the name of the game.
Anticipation is the driving force when it comes to people making decisions. Listen and look for what people desire, then emphasize and give them what they want. People will willingly pay, for what they want.
On a more humorous note if you want safer driving conditions, keep people off the roads and watching the Super Bowl.
