I have often wondered about Mastermind classes and what all the hype was about, but never new anyone personally who attended. Always a “friend of a friend” or “I know this guy at work who signed up for a class”. Now will have my own story to share. This is week one, lots of information being fired at you. As the expression goes “like drinking from the firehose” which I have to say I’m use to.

I guess some things stuck from military service. 21-year retired Air Force vet, and while I was in the military I never actually felt military, meaning it was a job with a quid pro quo relationship. What it did teach me was repetition, which makes muscle memory. That is what I’m taking from this first week.

I feel like a reprogramming is being initiated however not in a bad way. Positive thoughts and actions. Like with anything my attitude will make or break a situation. I am approaching with my core principles in place. I have a mantra that I must admit was recently adopted beginning of this year. ICA – standing for intentional, coachable and accountable. I will be intentional, coachable and accountable in every aspect of my life.

Intentional in my relationships, remain coachable being ready to learn and open to new experiences and accountable for all my action and nonaction to myself and God.
The material is very positive, I’m especially fond of the scroll. Curious at the end of thirty days if I will be able to recite the scroll verbatim.

I have always said to my children most people do what you are. You’re born with a gift. If not that, then you get good at something along the way. I got good at some skill sets along the way, but I don’t believe I ever found my true purpose.

My daughter is working on her PHD in bio-medical engineering and should graduate this December. She is 26, and already found her true purpose. The research thrills her to no end. This is something she would do even if she never got paid. I secretly envy her for that.

I want to feel that type of passion regarding my purpose. My hope, no, my goal is to discover within me my true self and purpose.
