MKE Week 1 – The Journey Begins

I lost my husband in May and lost part of myself in the process. As I walked around the house looking at what used to be, I found myself realizing that what used to be is how new beginnings start. I knew my life would be forever changed but I was at a loss as to how to begin. It wasn’t as if I hadn’t been through a new beginning before in my 75 years of life, but this time was different.

Social media had filled my days and the emptiness was filling my soul.

But… that’s how I found The MasterKey Experience… on the internet. So I listened to the promotional video, knew I needed something to turn my life around and felt that God had put me exactly where I needed to be I and signed up.

I had attended a lot of MLM training courses before and thought this would probably be similar even though I hoped it would be different. My first day was overload for this old broad. But I persevered and waded through the assignments one by one. I’m generally pretty organized so it wasn’t that I couldn’t keep up, it was that it was all so new. Not anything like any of the other training courses… not.even.close!

This was a REAL class and I hadn’t been in school for decades. Getting back into the swing of assignments, reading materials, writing this blog, writing what I wanted out of life…to say I was overwhelmed is an understatement.

I fought it the first few days but, like I said before, I persevered. As I read Scroll One of Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman for the ninth time (3 times each day with the last reading being aloud) I could feel a change happening inside.

I knew the process was working. I knew this was different and I was excited to see where I could go. “Today I shed my old skin which hath, too long, suffered the bruises of failure and the wounds of mediocrity.” (Quote from The Greatest Salesman by Og Mandino, page 51).
