This week I came across a sentence that in its simplicity may have helped me possibly end an ongoing artistic block.
Is it not so that birds, the wind, the sea and all nature speaks with the music of praise for their creator? Can I not speak with the same music to his children? Henceforth will I remember this secret and it will change my life. Og Mandino
I envisioned large paintings landscapes with figures but underneath unseen musical notes flowing through everything, notes of hope, positivity and beauty. Gratitude will run through my work now, I want it uplift people.
So much of contemporary Art is lacking in a deeper meaning and disconnected from the source. All great art uplifts and inspires and gives us a sense of connection to something higher than ourselves, points to something greater, to possibilities not yet manifest.
In this world, which is bombarded 24/7 with negative news, great art can be a powerful remedy against the hopelessness and disconnection and cynicism pushed by the mainstream media.
Most mornings whilst doing my 20 minute sit I hear the birds chirping. All is right with the world. I want my art to sing a similar song. Under everything I paint from now on this message will be singing.
Beauty will save the world. Fyodor Dostoevsky

Thanks for the nice comment Janet!
Thank you Peaches!!
And so it shall Tommy!
Your art is touching all who have the fortune of being in its presence!
I noticed the birds too when I was able to sit outside! Beautiful thought. I need to remember that in everything I create. Thanks for sharing this message!
