Have you ever felt like the Tortoise in the legendary story of “The tortoise and the hare”? I am beginning to feel like the Tortoise and it is not because the top of my head resembles the top of the tortoises head.

But rather it is because the hare left the tortoise standing at the finish line while he was off to claim his prize.

I can imagine some of the thoughts that could have gone through his head were. Wow that was a fast start. I will have a good bit of ground to make up to win this race. At a pace like that I am sure he will stop to rest and I will pass him then.

I can see the resolve in the mind of the tortoise. A steady pace will win this race. After all it is not how fast I run, but rather whether I stop that will make me the winner.

Such are some of the thoughts that have gone through my mind. After all a slow pace is still movement. And so I continue doing what I am able to complete each day, trusting that steady improvement is better than no improvement.

Such is my resolve, as I work to win my race.
