Decisiveness – Choose Wisely and Be Happy
Do, or do not…there is no try. – Yoda
My Franklin Makeover word for this week is decisiveness. According to the Cambridge dictionary, decisiveness is defined as “the ability to make decisions quickly and confidently.”
During this week’s webinar we were asked “what am I pretending to not know?” My honest answer is “it’s OK to choose myself 1st in life.” I have to admit there were many times in my life when I made a decision based on making someone else happy.
Sometimes I am happy with the decision and sometimes I am not. I like to see people happy but I have to remember if it is going to cost my happiness and peace, I need to choose wisely.
This week I have purposely zoned in on how people govern their life by making a firm decision and sticking to it. At least a couple of times a week I witness a person who always greets me with a happy wave, a big smile and followed by asking how are you?
The enthusiasm in the person’s voice and action always brings a smile to my face. I respond back just as happy regardless of how I am feeling at the moment. The decisiveness to spread joy is present in their actions. Due to how I respond this person is hitting the target with achieving the goal.
If there are things I want in life, it is in my best interest to exercise decisiveness. The need for less thinking about it and more action has to be my focus. This is where “Do It Now” strongly comes into play. I often feel happy when I choose wisely and get something done.

Good job seeing decisiveness, and being decisive!
