I am Nature’s Greatest Miracle
The scroll marked IV – I am nature’s greatest miracle. This concept is starting to go from my head and down to my heart. It’s easy for me to tell other people not to compare themselves with others, and yet I sometimes have a hard time not comparing.
When Og Mandino writes about being a unique creature of nature and then expounds upon it even more stating I am rare and there is value in all rarity, it’s starting to hit my heart.
Why would I compare myself to anyone else? There is no one out there who is anything like me and never will there be. We have been trained and the cement poured on over and over again that we need to be better than the person next us.
If you don’t come in first, then you are a loser. If you don’t get things done as quickly as the next person, you are a loser. If you don’t get an “A”, then you are dumb. This is the biggest load of garbage. If you live to breath another day, you are a miracle.
From this day forward, I intend, to the best of my ability, to stop comparing myself with others. I am on my own journey, not someone else’s. If I can look myself in the eye and know that I have done my best, then I am a success.
I am nature’s greatest miracle.

Amen, Heather. Well stated, having the courage and the confidence to embrace the fact that you are unique and are, as Og said, “I am nature’s greatest miracle”. What a freeing statement. Congratulations!
