Reflections on Clarity, Inertia, and Purpose
I feel some lack of clarity around my exact course of action to reach the next milestone in my DMP (Definite Major Purpose), I recognise that my passion lies in empowering others to achieve total health. Vital living, after all, is essential for developing the strength and power needed to execute one’s own DMP.
Sometimes, it feels like I’m setting out on a journey in the dead of night, guided only by a few stars and my trusty compass. I can envision my destination, but the well-worn road behind me still calls out, tempting me to return to methods that no longer serve me.
It’s as though a part of me is clinging to outdated practices, fueling a reluctance to embrace new possibilities and avenues for growth.
What if I’ve always had the ability to integrate these worlds? What if it’s possible to combine the structure of multilevel marketing with the vision of becoming a sought-after coach—not just one who provides nutritional supplements, but one who empowers clients with holistic, sustainable formulas to lose weight and improve health?
Perhaps, like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, I’ve always had the power to create this fusion. But, just as Dorothy needed the Tinman, the Lion, and the Scarecrow to reflect back her own strength and potential, I needed the reflections of others to see clearly what I’ve been pretending not to know.
This quiet certainty beats steadily within me. Yet, I am experiencing some inertia. What is this resistance saying?
Is it the weight of the “should-do’s”? The traditional “how-to’s”? Or the cemented ideas picked up from others about where I ought to be and how I ought to act to achieve the transformation I seek for myself—and for those I aim to help?
