Week #17HJ
Rejection and Belief
This was a hard week. I am in the process of making a job for myself. I want to work in Secondary schools with the Transition Year students passing on some of what I have learned.
I went from pillar to post, from government agency to voluntary body, trying to see how I could formulate this course.
Rejection after rejection.
“Sorry, you need to have the programme in place before we can help you”.
“We can’t work in government-funded institutions”.
“Once you have the funding in place we can help you develop the programme”.
And on it went.
Thankfully Og came to mind:
..each failure to sell will increase my chance for success…………each nay I hear brings me closer to the sound of yea. Og Mandino
Persistence was my Franklin Makeover virtue for last week and the timing couldn’t have been better.
I persist until I succeed.
What an adventure! You will find the way to accomplish it. Week 1 down, onto Week 2. Keep us posted.
Great initiative and persistence Caitriona.
What a great idea. I hope you find a way through to creating it.
I love this! Great lessons in persistence. Thanks for sharing.
