Desire and Adventure

In Hanaal’s work week 17.25 it states, “Your degree of success is determined by the nature of your desire.” That sentence really made me wonder if what I am pursuing regarding my vocation was really what I desired because I am not where I thought I would be a year ago.

I was questioning whether this was really my purpose and desire in life. I took some of my own advice into a sit. I looked back at all the different things I did as a child. What did I love doing? I realized I was a true adventurer. I was always willing to try new things. I would just do it. I wouldn’t sit and ponder whether it was doable or not, I just went for it.

Nothing that I did as a kid exactly correlates to what I am working towards with my vocation, but it reminded me that I am an adventurer. I have done many adventurous things in my life and this new career is exactly that, an adventure. It’s something I’ve never done before and it is a little scary and so were a lot of things I have done in my life.

I reevaluated my desire and realized what I am pursuing is important, and I really do want to pursue it. So, I move forward towards the adventure with gusto!
