When you have a stressful work and home life, you wonder when you will stress less. I often wake up with my jaw clenched and feeling the stress in my face. After thanking God for another day, my mind then floods with thoughts and I become very tense.
I continue to think about when I will be happy. While reading OG Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World Chapter 8 The Scroll Marked I during the first month, the following two sentences on page 56 always made me think when will this happen for me.
As the words of these scrolls are consumed by my mysterious mind I will begin to awake, each morning, with a vitality I have never known before. My vigor will increase, my enthusiasm will rise, my desire to meet the world will overcome every fear I once knew at sunrise, and I will be happier than I ever believed it possible to be in this world of strife and sorrow. The 15 minute sit Haanel tells us to do has helped me go to bed relaxed. I would find a 15 minute timer with relaxing music. As I sit I act like I am playing the piano or tap my feet to the music. I have noticed I am not clenching my jaw as much once I wake up..
In the same book in Chapter 9 on page 58 The Scroll Marked II the introductory sentence says “I will greet this day with love in my heart.” I have to admit, this is the sentence that stopped all of the negative cranial chatter once I took it on as a morning cadence after thanking God for waking me up.
I am embracing the mindset change and holding tight! Thank you Master Key Experience (MKE) for the tools of change!
What a beautiful reminder of what we are all capable of working toward! Thank you for being so real!!! Like you, I too am working on my mindset changes and reducing that negative cranial chatter;)
Wow, Jennifer, this is SUCH great news about your world within changing for the better your world without! I love how you said that Scroll 2’s opening line has “stopped all of the negative cranial chatter once I took it on as a morning cadence after thanking God for waking me up.” And you said, “I have noticed I am not clenching my jaw as much once I wake up.” Just imagine what more is to come! Thank you for sharing this…
