Subby made an end-run around the habit construction in progress. Excuses like so much to do this week, online classes over several days and homework to be done, then off-the-cuff honey-do errands rationalized as impediments to promises made.

I am sure many have felt this encroachment into the stream of MKE progress like me. It’s Ok and expected; it’s just subby trying to “protect us” from changing anything in our lives that might be a risk.

I’ve been through the MKE processes many years ago, and I recognize it for what it is. It is an indication that I am about to make breakthroughs that subby does not like or is fearful of – the resulting disruption to the status quo.

Although I slipped a bit, when I become aware of this subtle manipulation by subby, I take it as a green check mark saying to myself, you’re on the right track and making progress, recommit and double down on your commitments!

I also say thank you subby for always protecting me but I am no longer a child, nor ignorant of the ramifications or consequences of my decisions.

I have learned to make conscious decisions for myself and this one in particular will bring you, subby, more clarity and alignment between us. We can better work as a team to focus on the our DMP objectives and accomplishing them as I have full intention to do.
