This week was all about seeking opportunities to give kindness, the kind of gestures that brighten someone’s day, no matter how small they may seem. It could be as simple as opening a door for someone, offering a genuine compliment to a friend, or giving someone priority on a great wave and watching their joy unfold.
What made this week stand out was the shared energy. I loved reflecting on my own acts of kindness and reading the ones shared by others in the MKE blog. It created a ripple effect, a collective energy of giving that amplified the positivity around me.
The moments that stood out the most for me were the unexpected ones. Buying coffee for the person behind me or surprising friends with dinner. These little things carried a unique joy because they weren’t anticipated.
There’s something powerful about giving without expectation, about seeing someone’s day brighten because of a small, thoughtful gesture.
The energy of the week didn’t feel drastically different, but I noticed the shift in focus. I was more intentional about finding ways to be kind, and that intentionality made all the difference.
The more I gave, the more I realized how natural it feels to keep giving, and how much kindness comes back in return.
A reminder that kindness doesn’t have to be grand or complicated. It’s in the little moments, the quiet gestures, and the shared humanity we experience every day. The more kindness we give, the more it multiplies, in others, and in ourselves.
Giving up position on a perfect wave is truly a selfless act! I love the coffee purchase for a stranger as well. Thanks for sharing these.
Thank you, Ahren, for sharing your thoughts, intentions or acts of kindness along with the experiences and observations of random acts of kindness this week.
