Kind and Happy
This week was kindness week. An opportunity to raise our awareness of kindness, to notice it from the miniscule to the monumental, and to practice it without notice or expectation of reciprocity.
The idea is to help raise the global consciousness to the vibration of kindness by actively observing and engaging in it and thus increasing both our own joy and that of the recipients of a kind act. And what we think about grows.
We were asked to observe and record as many acts of kindness as we could and the goal was to reach collectively 2400 random acts of kindness. I found myself really engaging in this exercise and actively searching for or thinking about kindness all day each day. I recorded 10-15 each day, but if I rally drilled down I might have found so many more.
I don’t get out into public much, so the acts of kindness I observed tended to be either within my family or acts that I myself committed.
I consider myself a kind person. This did not change my behaviour at all; however, I did notice that on a daily basis I do kind acts regularly. This helped me notice that I am conscientious and considerate of those around me. The other thing I noticed was that I do take great satisfaction in helping others. I am a blue by the way, for anyone who knows the colour code.
All this to say, I love observing kindness, and this week has been extremely fulfilling. It is a practice I will continue. All in all, if no other achievement is reached through the Master Key Experience, today I reflected that in general I am a happier man than I was just 16 weeks ago.
Thank you Arlene. I appreciate all of your enthusiastic support!
Thank you too Julie! It takes a village!
Thanks Candy. I appreciate you!
Thank you Ahren. Takes one to know one!
You are a kind person Johnathan, thanks for sharing.
Jonathan that is an incredible observation. It is nice to see the acts around us for sure, and to see them more and more
Thank you, Jonathan, for participating in the Kindness week activities and sharing your experiences. Being observant of acts of kindness and noticing how it has affected you is inspiring.
Way to go! That awareness of kindness is HUGE!
