Show a Little Kindness Each Day
This week we are focusing on kindness for the Franklin Makeover exercise. I am enjoying the intentional acts of kindness that I see in others and personally doing myself.
I noticed my husband wave down a neighbor to say hello and catch up with him. Living in the cold Midwest doesn’t give much opportunity for long chats on the driveway during the winter, but they talked for quite a while.
He poured out his heart about his wife’s cancer spreading and that they probably had their last holidays together. This never would have happened if my husband hadn’t been kind and non-judgmental towards him in the past.
They have other neighbors that they would never share this news with.
Kindness can be as simple as a smile or small gesture. It doesn’t have to cost any money, but it will take a bit of time. I want to continue to be a decent human being and show compassion for those around me that may just need someone to listen to them and hear their struggles.
As we pour out kindness to others, we can see it coming back to us. My awareness of kindness has increased but also the little things that I have taken for granted that were done for me in kindness are magnified. We need more kindness.

This is so true, we DO need more kindness. I love your kindness examples here, great job!
