Small Wins and Big Shifts

This week, I went all in. I drew a clear line on self-debting — a concept that reminds me of how credit card companies allow us to spend far beyond our actual liquidity, often for non-essential items.

For three days in a row, I made a shopping list and prepared to head out, but something within me — something deeply committed to my greater good — stopped me each time. On one occasion, I even sat in the driver’s seat of my car, ready to go, when, as if out of nowhere, I figured out a way to avoid making the expenditure I had planned.

What could have felt like self-denial actually felt like a victory.

Instead of shopping, I embraced creativity. I substituted items and cooked simpler yet equally nutritious meals. The process not only expanded my repertoire as a wellness and nutrition coach but also brought me immense satisfaction.

I also shifted my focus to connecting with clients—past and potential—with calm confidence. There was no frenzy, no desperation. I trust that money is on its way to me because I am offering real value in exchange for it.

This week, I redoubled my commitment to the law of giving. I showered compliments and words of encouragement on those around me, shared tools and connections to help others in their personal and professional lives, and even responded to holiday messages that had been sitting in my inbox for far too long.

By the end of the week, I experienced two unexpected calls and received two monetary gifts. It was a reminder that abundance flows when you align your actions with generosity and gratitude.

Now, I am sitting with the thought of intentionally visualizing and expecting more money to flow to me from unexpected sources — and gratefully receiving it when it comes.

While my Definite Major Purpose (DMP) includes much more than money, I recognize that money will facilitate its realization. I’m reminded that any desire I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means.
