30 day push towards focus – oops
One of my direct sales companies was conducting a contest, I really wanted the one prize. So I set up a 30 day plan to achieve that prize, along with a few other stretch goals for my other businesses. This week (thru Dec 10) was the last week of my 30 days.
As I was listening to the recording of the corporate call on Wed, as I had missed being on it live, I kept hearing them say that the contest was over, yet I thought it went thru Dec 7. Low and behold, it was over and I had missed the warning signs all along!
Like when they had set up a 21 day blitz and I had just set up a 30 push – hmm maybe that should have triggered a thought? Or the next week with the 14 day blitz vs my 21+ days left, etc. I was so focused on completing my tasks within my 30 day time-frame that I had neglected to double-check what the true end date needed to be in order to achieve the goal of that one prize!
So, lesson learned – for the next push/blitz, I will get my end dates straight Yet, regardless, I still pushed forward on multiple fronts with things that I had been stalled on, so it was not effort lost at all, as the gains were still significant for me.

It’s a great idea to combine your own goal timeline with that of the company (especially if you earn a special something). However, a good idea to make sure your schedule fits their’s.
