Sight for Sore Eyes

Hello hello all,

I am Born anew. I don’t consider myself any particular faith as there is truth in all of them but I am born anew. I’m aware that this can be tied to the Gospel but hear me out.

Now, for me it’s simply what happens when were born, minus the dogma. The new born can’t see well and has to learn everything. Born anew; can’t see well and must relearn everything.

My new favorite pastime is being the observer of myself and as I do, I realize that I did not always see things very well. I was viewing the world through the lens of my trauma and struggle and basically through all my experiences, good and bad.

And because it was my experience it must have been true because I saw it with my own eyes. Seemingly logical. Well, if you want what everybody else has, do what everyone else does. And after decades of following someone else’s path, I knew that it was time to take the road less traveled.

When I decided to opened my proverbial eyes, I saw the trauma and I saw the struggle and I Knew that it did not define me. That I was just as amazing as ever and anyone else.

That I can do hard things like strengthen my focus and my body. That I can learn from my mistakes by confronting them and still love myself and be happy. That I can be grateful for everything and let down my guard and open up to people and be myself.

That I can commit to a process that unearths all of my shadows and still choose to shine. That I can speak words of love with love in my heart. That I can be Born anew.
