My Daughter and a Penny
My daughter accidentally swallowed a penny last night, I won’t tell you how old she is because it is embarrassing. She is old enough to know better.
She was showing off to her friend and had it in her mouth. She tried to get it out and it went the opposite way, It’s amazing how the subconscious can play tricks on you when something bad happens. She is freaking out way bad.
Making sure she can swallow, which one should in this situation. Questioning if she exists. She stayed up all night with her stomach hurting, she is sleeping now. Questioning if we should go to the hospital or just wait it out, I asked three people and they said to wait it out.
However, google says if her stomach hurts to go to the hospital. I guess it is up to my intuition as her mother if we go or not. I think if her stomach is still hurting when she wakes up I am going to take her to the hospital.
She would not let me take her to the hospital. She was embarrassed. She seems fine now. Nothing hurts anymore. So hopefully she passed it. Thank you.
That sounds like such a stressful situation, Alasia, but you are handling it with so much care and love for your daughter. Trusting your intuition as a mom is always a good move, and if her stomach still hurts, a trip to the hospital sounds wise just to ease both your minds. You are doing an amazing job staying calm and making thoughtful decisions. I hope she feels better soon and everything turns out okay!
