The Observer, Place of Power

“Everything we get comes to us by the law of attraction. A happy thought cannot exist in an unhappy consciousness; therefore, the consciousness must change, and as the consciousness changes, all conditions necessary to meet the changing consciousness must gradually change to meet the requirements of the new situation.”
— Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, Chapter 13, Sec. 24

Our thoughts are powerful! What we think and then what we say, the words from our mouths, empower our lives in ways that manifest in the physical.

Yet, even though I’ve heard about the Law of Attraction, about how we manifest what we speak, I didn’t fully comprehend the concepts. Therefore, my limiting beliefs dominated my realm of thoughts.

I did not understand the power of our thoughts, especially not the power of my subconscious thoughts, until the Master Key Experience (MKE). I also realize how empowering being an observer is.

The practice of reprogramming my subconscious and becoming consciously aware of my thoughts has changed my total outlook.

I just spent Christmas with my family. My family comprises four adult children, two spouses, and six grandkids. We have no other extended family around us. For better or for worse, what we have done as a family is our tradition.

As a retired single, I have realized that time is our greatest commodity. It is the one thing we can never buy or take for granted.

Consequently, I live intentionally creating time with my kids, especially my grandkids. For those who know me, they know my family is a high priority. Yet, I do my best to keep my relationship with my kids healthy and balanced.

Except during the holidays, especially Christmas, 99% of my time is focused on creating memories and holding onto tradition.

Yet, when I reflect on the week, much of my energy is focused on creating a wonderful dinner, decorating, and cleaning the house. Oh, and of course I cannot forget the presents. What is Christmas without presents, right?

These are the times I am thankful for my “sits.” It is during the quiet times that I evaluate what is essential, step back, and keep myself in balance.

This played out in real-time on Christmas Eve; I had a long list of things to do. At one point in my afternoon, I had my one hard deadline: a candlelight church service in the late afternoon.

Because of a few unexpected interruptions, I completed preparing the brisket in haste to meet this hard deadline. The kitchen was a total disaster; I felt a high level of cortisol shooting through my brain.

I left for the service. Separating myself from my situation and sitting at the very back of the church gave me time for quiet reflection. I was able to be the observer of my afternoon and take a pause. It was the perfect reset for me.

I could step back, evaluate the situation, and refocus, remembering that all these things that I am so stressed about aren’t going to matter at the end of the day. The essential tasks will get done. Everything else does not matter.

That moment defined consciousness, as Haanel describes it in section 24. At that moment, everything shifted. I could instantly feel it in my body. I had a great time! I elevated my thoughts outside myself. After the service, I talked to people, focused on them, and left with a new perspective.

For the rest of the evening, I remembered what was necessary. None of my grandkids will remember whether my house is spotless or the ornaments perfectly placed.

I hope that 10 years from now, they will remember feeling loved at grandma’s house. I hope the adults all feel empowered and elevated in their roles as parents, adults forging their path in this world.

As I move forward with the MKE, I see my energy shift. I see my goals accomplished. My life direction shifts toward what is truly in my heart. I feel the power within my thoughts realized. I am only beginning to understand the powerful potential within me.

We are limitless! We can maximize the law of attraction in our favor! The good news is the choice begins and ends with me. The choice is mine.

What thoughts will I choose? I have a clean slate every morning. Do I want to start fresh, or do I want to carry with me a dirty slate? I choose life, grow my best life, and move towards it daily. It’s incredible how much God and His angels come to our aid.

I look forward to living without limiting my potential.
Thank you Yahweh!
