I am a big-time procrastinator; I would say most of my life since a kid. I always say I will get it done later or tomorrow and whatever I was putting off never got done because I say the same thing the next day or would get stressed out because I waited to the last possible second to get a task done that was due like a project, homework assignment etc., for school or my business . This is one of my biggest unhealthy habits that I am finally breaking because of the Master Key Program.

Procrastinaton has cost me potential income over the years in the different businesses I have been involved in since 2013. This is no longer going to happen with the business I am involved in now since 2020. It’s time for a change and time to hit the different ranks, help others on my team hit ranks, make money together with my team and finally fire my 9-5 and become the entrepreneur I am supposed to be.

I love the chore card, which started two weeks ago. As I write down a chore that I need to get done that I have been putting off for weeks, months or even years. My 1st chore was to declutter my room and throw away stuff that I do not need or have not used in years. I threw out about two bags of useless stuff I hoarded over the years. It feels satisfying to remove unwanted stuff that has been collecting dust over the years.

The chore I picked this week is to clean out my closet in my bedroom and donate clothes that I don’t use anymore. I feel ecstatic because people are going to be blessed with free clothes I haven’t used in years. I also have been looking up places I can volunteer at. As I miss volunteering and don’t know why I haven’t volunteered since 2014-2015! I feel fulfilled, happy, loved and grateful when I can volunteer and put a smile on someone’s face that is going through a hard time and give back to the less fortunate.

I know the biggest thing that is helping me with getting chores, tasks, projects etc., done and not procrastinating anymore is the fact I have been following the task of saying “Do It Now” 3 times a day aloud 25 times. I hear the little voice in my head say just do it now, instead of me saying I will do it later or tomorrow.

  • Yes, loved your post and can relate! Procrastination is a biggie for many of us! Great inspiration to get things done and motivate yourself with the “Do It Now”!

  • Wow, Gerardo! WHAT A BREAKTHROUGH!!! Congrats! And doesn’t what you wrote remind you of chipping away the cement? As we’re doing it externally it’s happening internally. “…declutter my room and throw away stuff that I do not need or have not used in years. I threw out about two bags of useless stuff I hoarded over the years. It feels satisfying to remove unwanted stuff that has been collecting dust over the years.” And you’ve uncovered your love of volunteering. So SO good. Cheering you on and on!
